Trivial Inconveniences are things that seem small, not worth bothering with, sometimes even below our level of conscious awareness that nonetheless impact our decisions. An example is a person who thinks running is very unpleasant and only later discovers that different clothing and shoes make a large difference in comfort while running and thus impacting their inclination to run.

In habit stack design and goal factoring, we would like to seek out and think about what trivial inconveniences might be affecting our willingness or aversion to different activities.
